The Club was founded in 2000 as an initiative of Mrs. Rajchlová M.D., who wanted to support people above 50 and in retirement age and to offer them a helping hand in planning still a worthwhile future.
The Silver Heads Club (KSH) is based on a self-help basis (without employees, solely on a volunteering basis). The activities are organized only by club members and followers, who participate in securing activities and program execution of the civic association. It is of educational, self-help, social and motivational character.
At present, the club has more than 100 members, mostly with high-school or university degrees, though this is not a condition of membership. The age structure of present members is 40-82 years. The membership is however open to all above 18.
The civic association focuses on support to elderly people and people in retirement age in the areas of:
- employment, independent entrepreneurship
- further education
- active spending of free time – development of hobbies
- having a good time with other people of the same age
- staying self-reliant as long as possible
